Maxwell Surprenant ’22 Featured on Inspiration Honor Roll

Congratulations to Maxwell Surprenant ’22 who is featured on The George H.W. Bush Points of Light Inspiration Honor Roll! The Honor Roll was created as part of The George H.W. Bush Points of Light Awards Celebration to celebrate both acts of kindness and service that demonstrate the light that individuals bring to their communities around the world. Max was among the outstanding individuals were nominated for going over and beyond, from volunteers to frontline workers.

Maxwell co-founded Catching Joy, Inc., when he was 5 years old. In the last 12 years, he’s aided 70+ organizations and mobilized over 75,000 people - mostly an army of youth. Last spring, he led a Catching Joy Marathon: 26 Ways to Make a Difference, in which he rallied thousands of kids and adults to do good while staying home during the pandemic.

The George H.W. Bush Points of Light Awards Celebration was held virtually on September 26, 2020, honoring extraordinary individuals who demonstrate the traits of our 41st president – integrity, empathy, respect, optimism, conviction in the face of opposition and belief in the power of the human spirit. Presidents Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama graciously served as Honorary Co-Chairs of The George H.W. Bush Points of Light Awards Celebration.
