Capital Projects & Campaigns

Thanks to the generosity of generations of St. Sebastian’s community members, our campus is filled with the finest facilities and our growing endowment continues to attract remarkable students and devoted faculty. Please see below our most recent projects that capital gifts have funded.

Spirit & People Campaign

This campaign, completed in 2021, transformed the west campus through the construction of The Burke Family Center, a beautiful structure encompassing 49,000 square-feet of new construction and 21,000 square-feet of renovated space, housing our winter sports facilities; a state-of-the-art theatre/video classroom; a training room, fitness center, and locker rooms; administrative offices, a campus store; and the majestic Martin Hall. The Spirit & People Campaign is the first of our capital campaigns to make significant endowment growth a strategic priority, with $22.5 million raised for our endowment. Throughout the course of the campaign, our endowment increased a remarkable 82.4%.

Faith & Future Campaign

Completed in 2013, the Faith & Future Campaign transformed our campus, through the construction of our 32,000 square-foot Science, Math and Library Center. The size of our academic facilities doubled in space through this project, including 8 state-of-the-art Science labs, a Math Department wing and the doubling of our library and study space. Beyond the classroom, the campaign enabled our School to purchase several neighboring properties and to renovate and expand our athletic fields. Our endowment was also increased through this campaign.

Endowment

Among all the investments made to St. Sebastian’s, none have a more enduring impact than the resources we add to our endowment.

Endowed funds provide a source of income that relieves the annual operating budget that controls tuition increases for our families, funds financial aid and compensates our gifted and devoted faculty and staff more generously.  Gifts can be made for specific purposes or to the general endowment.
