On Saturday, November 10, the St. Sebastian's varsity football team won a share of the ISL title.
The 6-1 Arrows hosted the 6-1 Thayer Tigers with an ISL Championship on the line. Thayer struck first when they returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown, but the Arrows responded quickly, scoring on their opening drive when Billy Seidl '19 found Alex Cherry '19 in the end zone from 13 yards out. Seidl went on to throw four more touchdown passes on the day: two more to Cherry, one to Louis Hansen '21, and one to Miguel Vega '19, while the Arrows defense only yielded one touchdown to Thayer. The Arrows finished the game with a 41-12 victory and a share of the ISL title, St. Sebastian's first since 2012. After celebrating the league championship with their families and fans on Saturday, on Sunday the Arrows waited to hear about their berth in a NEPSAC bowl game. The NEPSAC selection committee determined that St. Sebastian's (7-1) will host the Taft School (7-1) at 1:00pm on Saturday, November 17, in the Todd Marble Bowl.
The Arrows are thrilled to play one more game this season on their home turf and hope for another great showing from their loyal fans.
