On November 7, Jack Connors '24, sporting his signature red bandana, sped past 140 runners at the Roxbury Latin Junior Jamboree to take home gold. Connors broke to the front early and relentlessly pushed the pace, running away from a talented field midway through the race. He averaged 6:13/mile over the hilly 2.23 mile course. The Jamboree features the top 7th-9th grade runners from 17 local Prep schools in what serves as a season-ending Championship race.
After finishing second in the opening race of the season, Connors won his next six races in convincing fashion. Teammates, Jack Flynn '22, Jack Sullivan '22, Michael Connolly '22, Thomas Scordino '22, James Joyce '24 and Jonathon Demosthenes '24 all ran personal bests in their final race helping propel the Arrows to an 8th place team finish in the 17 team event.
