Dalton MacAfee '13, a senior at West Point and captain of their hockey team, is in the running for the Hobey Baker Memorial Award, college hockey's most prestigious honor. Established in 1981, the award is given to a player who demonstrates strength of character, sportsmanship, and academic achievement as well as excellence on the ice. A Systems and Decision Sciences major at West Point, the defenseman was voted team captain for the 2018-2019 season and has twenty points on the year, four goals and sixteen assists. Last season, MacAfee played in all 36 of The Black Knights' games and was part of the team's penalty killing unit which was ranked third in the country. Prior to West Point, he played at Boston University in 2013-2014, appearing in 31 contests as a rookie for the Terriers, and then went to the South Shore Kings where he played in 40 games.
