CROSS-COUNTRY

The varsity cross-country Team went 1-1 during the first week of the Fall season. The Arrows opened their season by defeating Lexington Christian Academy, 18-43. St Sebastian’s was led by junior captain Jack Connors (18:35), with John Joyce (18:42) not too far behind. The second race of the week witnessed a big test for the team, as Seb’s went up against two top programs: Groton and St. Paul’s. The Arrows ran a tremendous race and came up just short, 27-30. Seb’s was led once again by Jack Connors (17:56), followed by senior captain Sam Hinman (18:15), who was back from injury. John Joyce (18:21) and Seb Culleton (18:34) also placed well for St. Sebastian’s.

FOOTBALL

The varsity football team completed its pre-season schedule by scrimmaging New Hampton. The Arrows are looking forward to their opening game on Saturday, September 24 at home vs. Governor’s Academy at 1:00 pm. 2022 Captains are Seniors: Zion Simmons, Landon Bailey, and Ryan Donovan. The game will also be livestreamed.

SOCCER

The varsity soccer team opened their 2022 season against highly touted Worcester Academy. Despite losing 3-0, the Arrows competed hard and gave Worcester a great game. The backline, which consisted of seniors Nick Adams, captain Alex Baynes, and junior Kellan Kilmartin, provided gritty defense in front of freshmen keeper JD Munro. Senior captain Ollie O’Donnell also supplied great play and leadership.
