On February 14, Arrows Skiing competed in the NEPSAC Class B Championship at Bousquet Mountain in Pittsfield, MA. The team was challenged before racing began by the winter storm which delayed the start time for competition to allow for competitors to safely travel and resulted in a longer day. Led by co-captains Raif Boit and Henry duBose, the team competed in Giant Slalom in the morning. Bobby Keller medaled in 6th place. The afternoon made for windy and cold conditions for the Slalom. Bobby Keller placed 11th and James Keller an impressive 24th as one of the youngest, if not the youngest, competitor of the day. Ultimately the second run was abandoned by organizers as the sun set and visibility declined. Consistency as a team, anchored by co-captains and Donal O'Connor, helped the team earn 5th overall.
Our final race of the season will be held on February 22nd at Nashoba Valley.
