First Annual Alumni Hockey Reception

First Annual Alumni Hockey Reception

On Friday, February 23, the St. Sebastian’s Alumni Office hosted its first annual Alumni Hockey Reception. Before the event, returning alumni watched the varsity hockey team defeat Thayer Academy to clinch their first ISL title since 2003, as well as an Elite 8 playoff berth. The event attracted alumni ranging from the Class of 1962 to the Class of 2022 and proved to be a wonderful opportunity for attendees to socialize with fellow alumni, as well as the varsity coaches and team. Coach Sean McCann spoke about the highly successful season, in addition to fielding questions from alumni. A special shoutout to our former ISL hockey champions who were in attendance: Sam Burke ’03, Joe Harney ’92, Joe Hulbig ’92, and Luke Sweeney ’92. We look forward to carrying on this tradition with our supportive alumni base. Congratulations to the 2023-2024 team, Coach McCann, and alumni coaches Jed Doherty ’86 and Corey Ronan ’14.
