• The school assesses a family's ability to pay tuition primarily based on income and living expenses. Assets are also considered, but they are protected up to high thresholds.

St. Sebastian's only offers need-based financial aid. There are no merit-based or athletic scholarships available.

• The tuition a family pays covers most of their yearly expenses. There are no extra fees for lunch, athletics, or extracurricular participation.
• The annual cost of books is about $400.  Used books and book buy-backs are also available to reduce book costs.
• Laptops are not required, but most students use one (a device/brand of their choice).
• For students receiving 90% or more financial aid support, the school also provides textbooks, laptops, bus costs (if using), and incidental academic or athletic expenses.
• Bus participation, school-sponsored trips, and St. Sebastian’s summer camps are also supported with financial aid.

• If a family’s financial circumstances remain the same, their tuition remains stable and predictable as well. However, if there are significant changes to their circumstances, then financial aid awards adjust to meet the new demonstrated need.
• Families reapply for financial aid annually, which enables the school to support changes in a family's financial situation.
• The most common and significant change to a family’s circumstances comes when another child enters a tuition-charging school.

When a sibling enters a tuition charging school or college, a family’s total qualifications are recalculated, and your tuition obligations are significantly adjusted accordingly. Our financial aid process works for an entire family, not just the oldest child.
