Students gathered in Ward Hall on Thursday, March 14 (3.14), for the first-ever Pi Day. While snacking on real pie, the Arrows tackled a number of math problems for a chance to win a gift certificate or a pizza.
The winning team in the Grade 7-9 division was the trio of Raif Boit '24, Deven Carkner '24 and James Joyce '24. Tied for second were the teams of Jonathan Demosthene '24, Ben Scemama '24 and Chris Thompson '24, as well as Aidan McCarthy '22, Richie Wilz '22 and Charles Yang '22. In the Grade 10-12 division, the team of Jack Dumouchel '19, Nolan Prince '19 and Jack Randall '19 tied for first place with Tom Flatley '20, Nathan Piecyk '20 and Tim Williams '20. The second place team included Alessandro Barbiellini '21, Daniel Ko '21 and Sam Randall '21.
