During this Lenten season, the Guild of St. Irene is running their first-ever Lenten book club. A group of mothers met for the first time yesterday on Ash Wednesday. The book club will be meeting on Wednesdays until April 2 in Arrows Hall in the West Campus Center. Members of the Guild are invited to attend one, a few, or all of the sessions as they collectively attempt to slow down, reflect and set individual personal goals to build a deeper and closer relationship with Jesus. The group will be reading Seven Last Words: An Invitation to a Deeper Friendship with Jesus by James Martin, SJ, and working towards creating a positive outlook during the Lenten season. What a wonderful way to prepare for Easter!
