Arrows Make Blankets for Those in Need

On Thursday, February 14, 26 students from St. Sebastian's School and Nativity Prep participated in Catching Joy's "Big Blanket Hug," working together to make 26 blankets for people in need. This is the third year that the Arrows have participated in this wonderful service opportunity. Maxwell Surprenant '22, Founder and Creative Director of Catching Joy, introduced the project, the "Big Blanket Hug," and emphasized that the blankets offer warmth, love, and hope. He said, "This project reminds us that we are all connected, and we are each other's keepers."

Representatives from The Second Step spoke with the boys about the organization and the impact that the blankets will make for the residents in the shelter homes. Founded in 1992, The Second Step, based in Newton, is a community of survivors, advocates, and volunteers who foster the safety, stability, and well-being of those who have experienced domestic violence.
