A Fun-filled Christmas Program

On Friday, December 14, the St. Sebastian's Community gathered to celebrate the season with a beautiful Christmas program full of song and scripture.

Fr. John Arens started the program with the Prayer for the Lighting of the Advent Wreath. Readings of scripture followed, and the St. Sebastian's Schola, comprised of both student and faculty, provided music.

The second half of the program featured contemporary Christmas music. The Chamber Ensemble performed "The Theory of Everything" and "Sleigh Ride." The Rock Band and Arrowheads combined to perform "Hey Jude" and "Little Saint Nick." English teacher Erin O'Luanaigh sang "Silver Bells," and Nate Kocho '19 rapped "Christmas in Hollis." The Jazz Band performed "Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24." Finally, Headmaster Burke offered his remarks and wished everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.,

Thank you to the students and faculty members who shared their musical gifts with our Community, including: Mr. Meyer Chambers, Director of the St. Sebastian's Schola, Mr. Karl Grohmann, Director of the Chamber Ensemble and the Jazz Band, and Mr. Manny Pettine, Director of the Rock Band.
