Parents, alumni, and parents of alumni gathered on the Class of 2007 Terrace at the Griffith Head of School's House on Wednesday, May 28, for the Volunteer Appreciation Cookout. A true sign of the range of dedication to St. Sebastian’s was the presence of Class Agents ranging from Fred Corcoran ’62 to Jack Daly ’23! Head of School Brendan Sullivan thanked the volunteers for always supporting the School and noted that their generosity and willingness to give their time, energy, and resources have been critical to the ongoing success of the School.
Guild of St. Irene President Elizabeth Derenzo P’20,’22,’24,’27, and Auction Co-chair Sarah Williams P’26,’28 presented Mr. Sullivan with a check for $683,084, the net proceeds from the Christmas Auction. A good portion of these funds will go toward the enhancement and beautification of the Art Center Terrace. Included in the project will be a statue of St. Irene that will pay homage to all past, present and future St. Sebastian’s mothers.
We know it is a busy time of year, and not all our volunteers could be with us, but we thank everyone for their time, generosity, and unwavering spirit throughout the year.
