Volunteers Celebrated during Reception

Parents, Alumni and Parents of Alumni gathered on the Class of 2007 Terrace at the Headmaster Griffiths House on Monday, June 6 for the Volunteer Appreciation Reception. Headmaster Burke said he thinks of the volunteers as the “more people” – always willing to do and take on more for the benefit of St. Sebastian’s School.

Outgoing Guild of Irene President, Julie Mulvey P'17,'21,'26, presented Headmaster Burke with a check for $604,220, the net proceeds from the Christmas Auction. Nearly half of the funds raised will be used to construct the Oratory and Marian Altar this summer. John Merageas P'21,'24, represented the Men’s Association and presented a check for $295,000 from the recent Headmaster Scholarship Golf Tournament. All of the golf proceeds go directly to financial aid.

We know it is a busy time of year and not all of our volunteers could be with us, but we thank each and every one of you from the bottom of our hearts!
