2021 Virtual Chop-A-Thon

2021 Virtual Chop-A-Thon

Men’s Association President, Mike Frisoli P’17,’19,’21,’22,’26, and Director of Service Programs, John Eaton, hosted the annual Chop-A-Thon to benefit the Pine Street Inn on Thursday, March 4. Due to pandemic restrictions, the father-son service project was held virtually, but still made a big impact. Arrows and their fathers were unable to slice and dice in person, but still made significant contributions of gift cards, fresh fruit, vegetables, and other food items that were loaded onto a St. Sebastian's bus by seniors on Friday, March 5, and then delivered to the guests of the Pine Street Inn. During the event, Scottie Wait, Director of Corporate Engagement at the Pine Street Inn, led the St. Sebastian’s community on a virtual tour of both the men’s and women’s facility in Boston as well as one of their transitional living residences. Despite not being able to be present at the Inn, our students came away with a stronger understanding of the needs of the homeless community in Boston and the great Pine Street Inn organization that serves them.
