The Latin Club Kicks Off Their Year

The Latin Club kicked off the year with a visit to Merrimack College on Saturday, September 14, to see the play, The Iliad, The Odyssey, and All of Greek Mythology in 99 Minutes or Less. Five members of the junior class, accompanied by Mr. Ferguson and Mr. Albertson, began the evening with a stop at North Andover’s famous Harrison’s Roast Beef and then made their way over to Merrimack’s Roger’s Center for the Arts. The play, written by Jay Hopkins and John Hunter, led the audience on a quick-witted, comedic tour of the great Greek stories, weaving in cultural nods to Arnold Schwarzenegger, the songs of Led Zeppelin and Styx, and even the TV show, “The Six Million Dollar Man”—all while a clock ticked from 99 minutes to zero.
