St. Sebastian's Welcomes Admitted Students & Their Families

St. Sebastian's Welcomes Admitted Students & Their Families

St. Sebastian's held its annual reception for admitted students and their families on Tuesday, April 4 in Ward Hall. Assistant Headmaster Michael Nerbonne welcomed the newly admitted students and their families and Fr. John Arens provided an opening prayer.

A musical performance was put on by John Sullivan '26 and Derron St. Marie '24 and led by Fine Arts Faculty member Karl Grohmann. Speakers then shared their St. Sebastian's experiences. Carter Dedier '26, Trevor Mullin '23, and Alessandro Barbiellini '21 a Harvard University student, each delivered wonderful speeches, describing why they love St. Sebastian's – from the strong community and dedicated teachers to the challenging classes and competitive athletics. Mrs. Krista Ryan P'23 then spoke about her experience as a mother of an Arrow, Edward Ryan, sharing how wonderful the experience at St. Sebastian's has been, not only for her son, but also for her family.

After closing remarks from Headmaster Bill Burke and Gregory Wishart P'27, Director of Admissions & Financial Aid, families enjoyed refreshments and conversation with current students and faculty. A special thanks to the many speakers, students, faculty, and staff who helped make the reception a success.
