St. Sebastian's Volunteers at Pine Street Inn for 9th Annual Chop-A-Thon

St. Sebastian's Volunteers at Pine Street Inn for 9th Annual Chop-A-Thon
On Sunday, January 26, St. Sebastian's fathers and sons participated in the 9th annual Chop-A-Thon at the Pine Street Inn in Boston, the largest resource for the homeless in New England.

The Arrows donated close to 1,500 pounds of produce and proceeded to slice, dice, and chop the food for later use. The donations of carrots, onions, celery, potatoes, and assorted fruits will be used by the shelter, which prepares close to 2,700 meals a day. The room buzzed with activity, as the fathers and sons worked hard as they chopped away.

The donations and efforts made by the St. Sebastian's Community provided a good amount of produce for the Pine Street Inn to use over the coming days. Thanks to all who participated in the Chop-A-Thon, with special gratitude to our Director of Service Programs John Eaton and Men's Association President Sam Hodgson P'12,'20 for organizing the event.
