St. Sebastian's Participates in Hopkins School Debate Tournament

On Sunday, February 28, 2021, nine members of the St. Sebastian's Debate Team participated, by debating or serving as a judge, in the Hopkins School Invitational Debate Tournament. 

Competitors were required to participate in three rounds of Parliamentary Extemporaneous Debating in both the Novice and Advanced divisions. Our Novice Team consisted of Rui Do Rosario '24, Lars Gubitosi '23, Matthew Malloy '23, and Ben Scemama '24; our Advanced Team featured Alessandro Barbiellini '21, John Chisholm '22, Will McInerney '22, and Paul White '22. Max Samulka '21 served as a judge in the Novice Division. 

Congratulations to Alessandro Barbiellini '21, and John Chisholm '22 who compiled a perfect record of 3 wins and 0 losses, 1 of only 5 teams out of 28 competing in the Advanced Division to earn this distinction.
