St. Sebastian's Open House

St. Sebastian's Open House
On Thursday, October 17, St. Sebastian's opened its doors to prospective students and parents during our annual Open House.

There was a great turnout of students who volunteered as ambassadors of the School. Students in all grades led over two-hundred families on tours of the campus, where they learned about the School's facilities, curriculum, fine arts, and athletics. Along the way, they met faculty members and current students who spoke about the School and answered questions.

A formal presentation followed in St. Bartholomew Church, during which Fr. John Arens, Headmaster Bill Burke, and Director of Admissions and Financial Aid Greg Wishart welcomed the visiting families. Students Jonathan Demosthene '25, and Michael Colgan '20 also spoke, each sharing the personal, academic, and spiritual growth they've experienced while at St. Sebastian's.

Afterwards, guests were given three activity options to explore at their own pace. One was to head to Ward Hall for a School Life Expo, featuring all of the School's clubs, academic departments, and athletic teams. A second was to visit the Curriculum Discovery presentations offered by teachers and held in various locations throughout the School. The third option was to visit a question and answer session about admissions and financial aid topics in the Gately Reading Room.

Thank you to all the current students, parents, and faculty who helped showcase St. Sebastian's at the Open House, giving prospective families a better sense of our mission and our community.
