St. Sebastian's Hosts Pope John Paul II Field Days

St. Sebastian's Hosts Pope John Paul II Field Days

St. Sebastian's hosted field days for 5th-8th grade students from Pope John Paul II Academy Schools on May 20, and June 13-15, a tradition that dates back to 2012. Over 40 Arrows volunteered their time to help run the activities, including 3 St. Sebastian's students who were formerly Pope John Paull II students. Each day saw over 80 students from the academies (the school is made up of three campuses including Lower Mills, Neponset and Columbia Point) and is one of the few times students from all campuses get to interact together. St. Sebastian's has been connected with Pope John Paul II Academies since their inception, as Headmaster Burke was an original Board Member when the parish schools of Dorchester and Mattapan combined. Throughout the school year, our sophomores and juniors help in the after school program at the Lower Mills Campus and additionally many of the senior class choose to do their senior service at the Pope John Paul II Academy schools each year.
