The St. Sebastian’s community came together on Wednesday, April 23, for the seventh installment of our Professional Networking Series, focusing on the entrepreneur sector. The panel, moderated by Alumni Board Professional Networking Committee Chair, Tucker Elcock ’07, included four alumni with a wide range of experiences in the start-up ecosystem. Charles Conigliaro ’11 is an entrepreneur and investor specializing in transportation and logistics (Small Haul), technology, distribution, waste management, and regenerative farming. Serial entrepreneur and investor, Brett Maloley ’02, founder of the Argo Collective and ParkArrow Capital, has a range of experiences in the lab testing and wellness verticals. Following a traditional career at a financial services firm, Jordan Perry ’11 combined his creativity, product development expertise, and analytical prowess to build SimpMe, an analogy-based learning platform. Brian Strachan ’11 is a dual threat in the category. Not only did he take the entrepreneur route in founding Strachan Holdings, but he has since deployed $200M+ of capital into niche vertical software companies. The panelists covered a wide range of topics, from raising capital, executing a business plan, building a network, and exiting businesses. Thank you to all of our panelists for an informative and engaging evening!
