Six Latin Students Receive Perfect Scores on the 2020 National Latin Exam

The National Latin Exam has announced that Deven Carkner ’24, Liam Cunjak ’25, Maxim Kalinichenko ’25, Michael Kalinichenko ’23, Chase McCann ’24, and Cormac Walsh ‘24 have received perfect scores on the 2020 National Latin Exam. Taken annually throughout the United States and many other countries such as Italy, Spain, Japan, Germany, and Zimbabwe, the National Latin Exam challenges students with questions focused on translation, Latin grammar, English derivatives, and Roman culture and history.

While St. Sebastian’s students have received perfect scores in the past, this marks the first time that six students have accomplished the feat in the same year. Their performances place them among the top 1% of all the Latin students taking the National Latin Exam throughout the world. Congratulations on a job well done!
