2023 President's Society Reception

St. Sebastian’s hosted the President’s Society Reception on Thursday, May 11, welcoming leadership donors, trustees, and friends to the Burke Family Center to celebrate their tremendous dedication to the School.  

Taking advantage of glorious weather, guests gathered on the Class of 2017 Courtyard for a cocktail reception before heading into Martin Hall for remarks. Fr. John Arens shared an opening prayer and Board of Trustees President Jim Elcock ’77, P’08 welcomed those in attendance and thanked them for their generous support. Retiring trustees were acknowledged for their service to St. Sebastian’s and several of them shared a few words, including John Hueber ’71, Kurt Steinkrauss ’91, P’19, Brian Strachan P’11,’14 and Kristen Maxwell P’25, this year’s Guild of St. Irene President.  

Featured speaker Steve Burton, Sports Director for WBZ-TV, spoke about the influence of his father, former Patriots player Ron Burton. During his speech, he commended the St. Sebastian’s community for its unwavering commitment to its mission.   

Headmaster Bill Burke wrapped up the beautiful evening of celebration and gratitude with closing remarks.
