Photography Teacher Courtney Bent Speaks at ISAIA Conference

Courtney Bent, St. Sebastian's photography instructor, was featured at the Independent School Art Instructors Association conference at the Brooklyn Museum in New York this past weekend.

Ms. Bent gave a presentation about her award winning program and documentary film Shooting Beauty and how it led to the development of the AP Photography service project at St. Sebastian's.  In the project, the St. Sebastian's AP Photography students adapt camera systems and teach photography to individuals with disabilities.  The project culminates in a slideshow and exhibition of the new photographers' work.  2020 will be the forth year for the program.  To learn more about the film that inspired the project, visit shootingbeauty.org.
