For the third year in a row, the Life Sciences club participated in the Harvard MEDscience program. A group of Arrows traveled to Harvard Medical School for six sessions to engage with life-like mannequins designed to simulate an array of symptoms that the boys were responsible for diagnosing and treating as if they were real doctors treating patients. The students learned clinical skills and how to investigate, diagnose and treat "patients." This year the group focused on the respiratory system, the cardiovascular system and the endocrine system. As for clinical skills, the students learned how to intubate and insert an IV. This was an excellent opportunity for students to get hands-on experience in healthcare while developing critical thinking and teamwork skills.
