Latin IV AP Students Participate in Vergilian Actus

St. Sebastian's annual Vergilian Actus took place on Tuesday, May 9, 2023. Timothy Joseph, Professor of Classics at the College of the Holy Cross, led a discussion of Vergil's Aeneid as he presented questions to the students studying Latin IV Advanced Placement. Each student read a passage from the poem, answered grammatical questions, translated the lines, and offered reflections on Vergil's themes. Professor Joseph also asked group questions centered upon Fate, character portrayal, and single words in the poem which students found impactful and memorable.

Students who participated were George Addona '24, Peter Bachiochi '25, Raif Boit '24, Deven Carkner '24, Neal Carlson '24, Rui Do Rosario '24, Quinn Feyler '24, Chase McCann '24, and Eddie Zhang '24.
