2022 Washington D.C. and NYC Alumni Reception

On November 15 and 16, Headmaster Burke took St. Sebastian’s on the road, making his way down the east coast to spend time with alumni in New York City, Philadelphia, and Washington D.C. Mark O’Friel ’79 hosted the New York gathering at the Harvard Club, where alumni saw a brief slideshow of all the activity that has been taking place on campus in recent months. On his next stop in Philadelphia, a small group of alumni met for lunch at the White Dog Café and he quickly caught the next train to Washington D.C. This portion of the road trip overlapped with the Class of 2024’s Junior Class Trip to our nation’s capital. The reception at the Holiday Inn Capitol gave alumni the opportunity to not only hear the update on the School from Headmaster Burke, but meet current students. Matt Choi ’22, Tommy Cronin ‘22, and Will McInerney ’22, all freshman at Georgetown University, gave several students a tour of campus on Monday afternoon. Matt Choi also addressed the juniors at the reception encouraging them to enjoy their time at St. Sebastian’s and expressed his thanks for all of the “intangibles” that he benefitted from. Brian Compagnone ’92 shared his experience after St. Sebastian’s, encouraging the young Arrows to pursue a lifelong learning path. Closing out the speaking program, Ryan Kennedy ’93 traced his career path from young sports media analyst to business school to the FBI and ultimately, a cyber security start up. Kennedy strongly encouraged the Class of 2024 to consider service to their country in their future plans including the United States Armed Services.

If you are a New York, Philadelphia, or Washington DC alumnus and did not receive an invite to the reception, we must not have your proper contact information.  Please update your alumni profile here to be included on future invite lists.
