Arrows Participate in American Literature Retreat

On Thursday, February 16, seniors in Advanced Topics and juniors in American Literature participated in an American Literature retreat. The students first met in the theater to listen to guest speaker, Veteran Tom Curran, discuss his experience as a Vietnam soldier. Afterwards they went to the American Heritage Museum in Hudson where they experienced the museum’s new exhibit on Vietnam as well as the museum’s other displays.

This day helped to enhance the students' appreciation of their study on Just War Doctrine in Religion, on Tim O’Brien’s novel, The Things They Carried, in American Literature, and on the Vietnam War itself in American History.
