Class of 2023 Celebrates 100 Days to Graduation

Class of 2023 Celebrates 100 Days to Graduation

The St. Sebastian's Senior Class gathered in Ward Hall this morning, March 2, for the annual "100 Days to Graduation" Breakfast, celebrating the milestone with a delicious meal prepared by the dining staff.

During breakfast, the students were addressed by Mike Melley P'18,'22, Director of Alumni Programs. Melley spoke to them about joining the ranks of the 3000 alumni who have preceded them since 1945 and the benefits and responsibilities that go along with it. This long line of alumni includes Tommy McAuliffe’s grandfather, Andy McAuliffe ’48!  Mike also shared a host of Alumni Office led events for them to participate in beyond Commencement. Mr. Melley concluded by inviting the class to vote for candidates for 2023 Class Agent. This important role is charged with keeping the class close to each other and close to St. Sebastian’s. Headmaster Burke shared his thoughts on the final 100 days to the Class of 2023: one, to slow down and take it all in; two, to savor the remaining days; three, to say what you want others to know before you leave and told them to finish the year strong.

Finally, the seniors received a t-shirt marking the day's milestone with the words "Once In, Never Out, Arrows Forever" written on the back, which they were able to wear for the remainder of the school day.
