As part of St. Sebastian’s ongoing Faculty Zoom Seminars, English Department Chair, Chris Lynch, hosted over 125 people on Tuesday night, May 12, for a broad discussion on Fyodor Dostoyevsky and the Brothers Karamazov. In his seminar, “The Speech at the Stone: Childhood Memory and the Moral Life”, Chris engaged his audience with the thought-provoking and engaging style that is the hallmark of his classroom. Audience members were encouraged to read a brief passage of The Brothers Karamazov as the basis for the discussion and came prepared to engage. As usual in Mr. Lynch’s lectures, class participation from the online audience added insightful analysis to the classic works being discussed.
