Members of the St. Sebastian’s School FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) Robotics Teams traveled to St. John’s High School in Shrewsbury on Sunday, December 15th, to compete in a FIRST Robotics Massachusetts Qualifying tournament against 26 other teams from the area.
Team 133 had a strong showing throughout and demonstrated a consistent, reliable strategy, finishing the preliminary matches with a 5 - 0 record, and sitting in 2nd place entering the playoff rounds. After a loss in the first round, Team 133 won their next two matches from the losers bracket, making it to the semifinals where their day was ended. Fueled by lessons learned and the spirit of innovation and improvement, Team 133 has already begun making modifications in preparation for the next competition in February.
Team 133 would like to thank the St. John’s High School robotics teams for hosting a fun-filled day of intense competition, as well as Team 6040 (Canton Robodogs) who battled with us through the playoffs as our Alliance partners!
