Members of the St. Sebastian’s School FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) Robotics Teams traveled to Canton High School on Saturday, February 3rd, to compete in a FIRST Robotics Massachusetts Qualifying tournament against 24 other teams from the area.
Each of the two Arrows teams competed in five preliminary-round matches. Our rookie team, Team 19556, posted a 2 - 3 record on the day, performing with a strong end game that kept them competitive in every match.
Our veteran team, Team 133, finished the qualifying matches as the top seed with a 5 - 0 record and then won their semifinals matches handily. In the best-of-three finals, the Arrows lost the first match and then won the next two to finish in 1st place overall for the day's competition!
Team 133 will compete next in the State Championships on March 9th at Andover High School.
The St. Sebastian's teams would like to thank the Canton High School robotics teams for hosting a fun-filled day of intense competition, as well as Team 18754 (Weston High School) and Team 19460 (Xavarian Brothers High School) who battled to victory with us through the semifinals and finals as our Alliance partners!
