Arrows Recite Poetry in Annual Poetry Out Loud Competition
On Thursday, December 12, 70 Arrows competed in the annual Poetry Out Loud competition. Students in grades 7-12 recited from memory a wide variety of poems. Judges Kera Wiggin, Rick Dashiell, Dean Adams and Anthony Perez labored to choose a winner from so many quality performances. In the end, Cameron Steele '26 was crowned school champion for his recitation of "The Charge of the Light-Brigade" by Alfred Lord Tennyson. He will move on to the State semi-final competition in March. POL runners-up were Daniel Yang '25 and Rohan Ghatge '28. Honorable mentions go to Ben Osunsanya '26, Andrew MacDougall '27, Oisin Asaad '28, and Alex Perkin '25.
