Groton School Invitational Prepared Debate

On Sunday, April 18, 2021, members of the St. Sebastian's Debate Team participated, by debating or serving as a judge, in the Groton School Invitational Prepared Debate Tournament. 

Competitors were required to participate in three rounds of Prepared Debate arguing for either the Affirmative or Negative side of the resolution: 

Be it resolved that the Congress of the United States should pass legislation that criminalizes the material support of FBI designated domestic terrorist organizations.

Congratulations to Alessandro Barbiellini '21, and Maxwell Surprenant '22, who won Third Place Negative Pair competing in the Advanced Division.

Congratulations, as well, to Raif Boit '24, Gianluca Centola '24, Noah Janchar '23 and James Joyce '24, who won Third Place 4-Person Team competing in the Novice Division.
