Academic Rigor Displayed at Curriculum Night

Academic Rigor Displayed at Curriculum Night

The St. Sebastian's School Admissions Office hosted Curriculum Night on Thursday, November 3, providing prospective students and their families the opportunity to enjoy in-depth discussions of the School's curriculum with current students and faculty.

The evening began in Ward Hall, where Headmaster Bill Burke P’95,’97,’00,’04, GP’23 and Assistant Headmaster Michael Nerbonne welcomed everyone in attendance, and both offered remarks to the guests. Director of Admissions and Financial Aid, Greg Wishart P’27, explained the agenda for the night and outlined the rest of the admissions process.

Prospective families toured the School with current students and faculty as guides, visiting six different sessions that covered St. Sebastian's curriculum: Mathematic Reasoning; Scientific Inquiry in STEAM; Writing, Speaking, and Critical Thinking; Faith and Reason; Spanish and Classics; and Excellence in Fine Arts. An art exhibit was on display in the back of Ward Hall and students and faculty members of the Fine Arts Department were present to answer any questions relating to the arts.

Thank you to all who helped make the evening an informative and welcoming experience for visiting families.
