2025 Undergraduate Awards

St. Sebastian's School is proud to recognize the following students who were presented with awards for their academic achievements during the Undergraduate Awards Assembly held the morning of May 21, 2025.

At the start of the assembly, Assistant Head of School Mr. Nerbonne provided the following remarks:

"Good Morning.

Welcome to our Undergraduate Awards Ceremony.

Today we celebrate the talent of so many of our undergraduate students. But we know that we celebrate and honor and recognize so much more than that. In fact, in ceremonies like this one across our nation, secondary schools are routinely doing what would appear to be the same thing: recognizing talent in their midst.

So, we might ask ourselves, what makes St. Sebastian’s different, or even unique in this regard? My answer to that question comes from Mother Teresa who wrote: “The talents God has given you are not yours-they have been given to you for your use, for the glory of God.” 

Mother Teresa was referring here to the proper use of all of our talents in light of her understanding of what our Lord expects from us in return for all of His gifts of intellect and ability and talent, namely that we grow in our love for Him and that we commit doing all for His glory in service to one another. 

Our Lord himself reminds us in Luke’s Gospel that “from those to whom much has been given, much will be expected in return.”

We are honored and delighted to celebrate our students this morning in the great hope and anticipation that they will always and forever see their talents as freely and lovingly bestowed on them by God, and motivated by this truth, they will find ways to share their talents, especially with those most in need."
