On October 28, prior to the Friday night lights game against Milton Academy, the 2012 football team returned to campus to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their ISL & NEPSAC Championships. Coincidentally, the 2012 season was the first year that a night game was played at St. Sebastian’s, and it too, was against Milton Academy. Athletic Director, Jon Bartlett, welcomed the players from the classes of 2013, 2014, and 2015 who came from as far away as Florida and Texas to reconnect and reminisce in Arrows Hall. Coach Souza recounted the season, highlighting key plays in the drive towards their undefeated 9-0 record like it was yesterday. Co-Captains, Pat Healy ’13 and Brian Mullin ’13, addressed their teammates emphasizing the special relationship they all shared and how it continues to bring them together today. In closing, Headmaster Burke reminded the 2012 team that St. Sebastian’s will always be their home and they will always be welcomed back. Once on the field, the team assembled at the 50-yard line for the National Anthem and Healy and Mullin assisted in the coin toss with today’s varsity captains. While the outcome of the game for the Arrows wasn’t what everyone had hoped for, they are still very much in the hunt with a 5-1 record. We look forward to seeing more alumni cheering on today’s Arrows at home on November 4 at 2:00 PM against BB&N, and on the road at Thayer on November 12 at 10:30 AM. Go Arrows!
