The Drama Club Performs “Letters & Liars”

The Slings & Arrows Players delivered a joyful performance of the original play, "Letters & Liars," on April 17 and April 18, 2026, in the West Campus Theater. Written by Rowan Koppenheffer ’27, “Letters & Liars” tells the story of the fictional kingdom of Ryabina in the early 1800s, in a state of near revolution against its young king, Peter.

Two weeks before his coronation, Peter goes down to live on the docks in disguise, where he meets Joan, a girl who looks very familiar. During his time on the docks, Peter learns more about his people and those who support and oppose him, some of whom are closer than he expects. Along the way, he meets Orlo, an old dockworker with a dark past, and other various characters from around Ryabina. This is a story about honesty, greed, and stepping into your path.

The actors and the crew excelled under the guidance of co-directors Brendan Fleming ’29 and Rowan Koppenheffer ’27, with faculty member Amber Crossman as the Directing & Acting Supervisor. The cast and crew would like to thank their teachers, friends, and families. A special shout-out goes to the St. Sebastian's facilities team—Paul, Doug, Brian, and Francisco, 4 Wall Entertainment, Dana Hall School, Jean Ryan, Emily Marcucci, Matt Willey, Paul Rossini, Head of School Brendan Sullivan, and the parents and families of our students.
