Recent Alumni Share College Insights with Class of 2027

On Tuesday, January 6, recent alumni returned to campus to share their experiences and advice with the Class of 2027 as they begin to navigate the college search process. The panel was comprised of seven alumni attending schools representing a range of sizes, locations, and areas of study:

Kyle Bilezerian ’23 – Syracuse University
Ryan Donovan ’23 – St. Lawrence University
Rui do Rosario ’24 – Johns Hopkins University
Cormac Gallagher ’22 – Villanova University
Andrew Hahm ’22 – Amherst College
Peter Hunt ’23 – Northeastern University
Brett Porter ’23 – Clemson University (via Zoom)

Director of College Counseling Ellen Hinman moderated the panel discussion as well as Q&A with the juniors. When talking to the Class of 2027, alumni underscored the importance of staying present throughout the college application process, utilizing the tools St. Sebastian's equips students with as they head into college, and “getting comfortable with being uncomfortable” while trying new courses, clubs and meeting new friends. To conclude the program, Executive Director of Advancement Mike Melley introduced students to the Alumni Office and invited Arrows to leverage the St. Sebastian’s alumni network as they embark on their college journey and beyond. Thank you to our alumni for serving on the panel and best of luck to the Class of 2027!
