Peer Educators Guide 7th Graders through Transition

Peer Educators Guide 7th Graders through Transition

For the second time this fall, the Peer Educators met on Friday, October 24, with the 7th graders to discuss their transition to St. Sebastian's.

Every month, a group of 15 seniors share their knowledge and experiences with the 7th Grade as part of the Health & Wellness Program. This is the fourth year of the Peer Education Program, which was started by a group of seniors who wanted to give back to their school.

The guiding philosophy of the program is that students are more likely to relate to and trust their peers than professionals. Over the course of the year, the Peer Educators present topics that they feel with benefit all students in the St. Sebastian's community.

A group of people, both adults and children, are seated in a cozy library setting, surrounded by bookshelves and engaged in what appears to be a discussion or meeting.
A group of people, likely in a professional or academic setting, are seated around a large wooden table in a room with a whiteboard and windows overlooking an outdoor area.
