Arrows Join CRUDEM Packathon

On Saturday, May 16, members of the National Honor Society and students from every grade participated in the annual CRUDEM Packathon at St. Joseph’s Parish in Needham. CRUDEM is an organization that works to provide food and health care to the Milot region of Haiti. Through the efforts of our students and others in the Needham area, 90,000 meals were packed over the course of the weekend (40,000 during our session). In the past eight years, more than 900,000 meals have been packed through this event, and next year the Needham Packathon is expected to surpass 1 million meals delivered.

Special thanks to Mr. Michael Gillis P’24 for introducing this project to St. Sebastian’s and continuing to foster the relationship between the town of Needham and St. Sebastian’s, as well as to faculty members Mr. Dan Burke and Mr. Sean Albertson for their longstanding involvement with the program since its inception in 2018.
