John Eaton Hosts Faculty Zoom Seminar

Religion Teacher and Director of Service Programs, Mr. John Eaton, hosted St. Sebastian’s 12th Faculty Zoom Seminar on Tuesday, April 14. This semi-annual series features members of the faculty delivering a passion project seminar of their own choosing. John’s seminar, “Walking Toward Faith, Hope, and Love: The Road to Emmaus,” focused on Luke’s account of the Road to Emmaus and Christ’s invitation to come to His truth ourselves. John centered his commentary around his role as Director of Service Programs and explored themes of Faith, Love and Hope. You are welcome to view the recording of the seminar here.

Mr. Eaton grew up in Acton, Massachusetts, and attended Boston College, where he earned a BA in History. John came to St. Sebastian’s in 2003, joining the faculty as a religion teacher and a coach. During his time here, he has taught 7th, 8th, 9th, and 11th grade Religion, coached in the football and lacrosse programs, as well as serving as Director of Summer Athletic Programs since 2020. John’s greatest impact can be felt in the St. Sebastian’s community in his capacity as Director of Service Programs, a position he has held since 2012, overseeing all service programs at the school. John has also served as a mentor to parents at the Jimmy Fund and appeared on the Red Sox Jimmy Fund Telethon.

Thank you, John, for this thought-provoking and heartfelt discussion!
