Fifth Annual Arrows Connect Career Night

On Monday, January 5, the Alumni Board hosted its 5th annual Arrows Connect Career Night via Zoom. Alumni from the Classes of 2017-2025 were invited to gain insight and guidance from six recent alumni panelists representing a range of professional interests. This year’s panel included representatives from Commercial Real Estate, Entrepreneurship, Law, Private Equity, and Software Sales.

Tim Smith ’07, Senior Director Strategic Analytics at Snyk, not only moderated the panel but shared his own valuable insights on his wide ranging career path. Aidan Balboni ’12, Senior Associate at Windjammer Capital Partners, presented a look into the IB and PE world and the merits of pursuing an MBA. Dave Gusella ’06, Corporate Partner at Kirkland & Ellis, discussed his pivot from software engineer for a defense consulting firm to law school and his current role representing investors and companies in their most important acquisitions, partnerships, investments, and strategic transactions. Eric Jeremiah ’17, Associate Director at Newmark, discussed his role on the leasing end of commercial real estate and the importance of the St. Sebastian’s network on his career. Jake Levy ’14 transitioned from a career in financial advisory to the entrepreneurial path, founding PIE in 2024, a technology company focused on reducing administrative complexity for start-up’s. Rich Renwick ’09 laid out his path through software sales, highlighting his sales foundation at EMC after college to his current position at Crowd Strike.

Thank you to all of our alumni panelists for following the “order of the day” and “taking good care of one another.” Sharing your experience with your fellow Arrows was invaluable!
