The 2026 St. Sebastian's Scholarship Invitational was held at Woodland Golf Club on Monday, May 18. Men’s Association President Rick Sutphin P’26, along with Committee Co-Chairs Ryan Dow P’30, Mike Frisoli P’17,’19,’21,’22,’26, Tom Kolinski P’30, Bill Power P’30, Marci Reed P’28,’30, and Eugene Van Biert P’26,’30, did a tremendous job planning and organizing the event, and we thank them for their time and effort in making the tournament another great success.

The day began with a blessing from Chaplain Fr. Chris Boyle and opening remarks from Head of School Brendan Sullivan, who thanked the sponsors and participants for their support in raising funds for need-based financial aid for St. Sebastian’s families. One hundred golfers gathered for the tournament, including St. Sebastian's parents, parents of alumni, alumni, and friends. With perfect weather, the camaraderie on the course was truly exceptional.

The 2026 Invitational Champion foursome included Eric Jeremiah ’17, Conor Reenstierna ’12, Conor Haughey ’12 and Jack Gould with a net score of -12! The runner up foursome included Jim Donovan P’19,’23, James Donovan ’19, Ryan Donovan ’23 and Robby Smith ’19 with a net score of -12. The tiebreaker was decided by the lowest score on the back nine. They all received trophies that were designed and manufactured in the School’s Innovation Lab! Congratulations on their outstanding performances in the bramble format!

For the first time, we also introduced pickleball to the event, welcoming 20 participants who competed in a round-robin tournament. The competition culminated in a semifinal match followed by a championship final, where Tara Ashe P’28,’32 and Angie defeated Kim Daley P’26,’28 and Katie Steele P’23,’26 to claim the first-ever Scholarship Invitational Pickleball Championship.
