About the Tournament
Kevin T. Mutch '80 was a star hockey player for both St. Sebastian’s and Boston University. Kevin returned to St. Seb’s to coach during the 1991-92 season, where his dedication and enthusiasm for the sport helped to energize the team. Tragically, Kevin’s life was cut short when he was struck and killed by an automobile on September 7, 1992.

To honor his memory, his friends started the Kevin T. Mutch '80 Memorial Golf Tournament. Now in its seventeenth year, this tournament, along with the Mutch Cup Hockey Game held each December, raises money for the Kevin T. Mutch '80 Scholarship Fund.

This past year Chris Brown '09 became the thirteenth recipient of this Scholarship Award. He played three varsity sports (soccer, hockey & lacrosse). Brown served as one of the hockey team captains during his senior year. He was also awarded All-League Honorable Mentions for hockey during his junior and senior years. Brown will be attending Middlebury College in the fall.
