Biology I
Most freshmen at St. Sebastian’s take an introductory course in Biology at either the college prep or honors level. These courses examine life at all levels of complexity, starting from small, significant organic molecules, through the five kingdoms (including a special look at human anatomy and physiology), and finally into an exploration of ecosystems. The students are engaged in lectures, class discussion, projects, and labs, including computer-based labs and a DNA fingerprinting lab using gel electrophoresis.
