AP Music Theory
The basis of this college-level course is the study of musical structure, featuring the integration of melodic, harmonic, textural, rhythmic, and formal aspects of music. The ability to read and write musical notation is fundamental to the course. Aural skill, sightsinging, analysis, and elementary composition are also important elements. All students are prepared for and are required to take the AP Music Theory exam in May.
