Introductions to Fine Arts
During each of the first three quarters, students study a different discipline in the fine arts. In the fourth quarter, students are encouraged to select the area in which they are most interested, leading the further study in that area. The course aims to develop in students an enthusiasm and appreciation for the arts in a variety of forms; to introduce students to the fundamental elements of the study of music, visual art, and drama; and to develop each student’s creative interests and capabilities. This course is required in both grade seven and grade eight.
